In the event of rain, camp will be held at The Kennebunk Town Hall Auditorium or The Waterhouse Center

Monday - Friday with Saturday Performances at 2:00 pm

KidSummer:
  • Take the stage alongside professional actors in MaineStage Shakespeare's matinee production of The Tempest! A new act each week -- the full play will be performed over the course of five weeks in one-act installments, so returning campers get a whole different experience! ShakeSTARS also receive classes in acting, stage combat, playwriting, Shakespearean voice, and more, all taught by the actors of MaineStage.

Playgroundlings:
  • Let your imagination run wild as you learn all aspects of the magic of theater! Each session, campers will collaborate with MaineStage actors to write and perform a short play, which they'll present as a prologue to The Tempest. In addition to playwriting, classes will include acting, improvisation, Shakespearean voice, costume-making, stage combat, and more, all taught by the actors of MaineStage! Pending enrollment, campers will be divided by age group.
