Carlisle
FarmABLE is an experimental learning program for youth between 1st and 5th grade. Participants engage in learning modules that follow the seasonal rhythms of nature in the sensory-rich farm environment including: animal husbandry, horse grooming & care, horticulture (raised bed herb & flower gardens), soil science, and nature walks. FarmABLE is an immersion experience into the rich educational opportunities that naturally happen on a farm. Participants engage in meaningful activities, gaining an appreciation for the natural world and learning the importance of being good stewards of the land and animals. Learning modules provide hands-on experiences incorporating valuable life skills such as cooperation, self-care, awareness of self and others, and problem-solving.
