Join us in our introductory course of Navigation/Orienteering. We will use maps, compasses, and teamwork to overcome a variety of set challenges. Throughout this course participants will learn to navigate throughout terrains in both indoor and outdoor environments to meet placed checkpoints. This programs mission is to enhance navigation skills through fun and exciting activities! After this program, participants will know the basics to understanding map features, how to orient a map, how to set bearings, and how to collect and place catching features.

Program Information
  • Participants will leave directly from Sea Road School with a member from the Parks and Recreation Department.
  • Parent Pick-Up is at Dorothy Stevens Community Center @ 5pm.
  • Information on places/trails we will be visiting will be sent out to parents closer to programs date.
  • MAKE-UP DATE: November 1st
