8:30 AM - 9:30 AM    KAK Youth Field Hockey Fall 2023 - Youth Field Hockey Grades 3-6
In partnership with Kennebunkport Recreation & Arundel Recreation, we are offering an 8-week program designed to introduce kids to the sport of field hockey in a fun, energetic, and low-key environment. Children will be taught the basic skills of the game in station format with scrimmages following. The program comes with a field hockey pinnie with numbers on the back! Instructors for this program will be Coach Kayla Billings (KHS Varsity FH) & Coach Jill Lamontagne. Participants will be broken up into two age groups: K-2 and 3-6. Grades K-2 will be clinic style on Sunday mornings with the possibility of a playdate or two before the season is over. Grades 3-6 will practice once during the week and then either have a playdate on the weekend or practice on Sunday. Schedule for possible games and practices for grades 3-6 will be released around the end of August by Coach Billings or Coach Lamontagne.Shin guards, mouth guards, goggles, and sticks are required. Children should bring their own if able. Coach Kayla has some sticks available for use during the session, but if you do want to have your own stick, please refer to our recommendations below. When: Sundays, September 10th – October 29th.Time: 8:30AM - 9:30AMWhere: Kennebunk High School FieldsCost: $50/participantCancellation: Coach Kayla & Jill will make the call on whether or not to cancel a session due to inclement weather by email either the night before or morning of. Discover the “three secrets” of drawing dramatic pictures. You’ll learn how to use effective lines, basic shapes, dynamic shading, balanced composition and one, two and three-point perspective… and more. Each class builds on the previous one as you create drawings of human figures, scenic views, architectural structures and graceful still life arrangements ... and more. Bring a drawing pad (approx. 10 x 14 or bigger - spiral binding is best), pencils, “improvers” (also known as erasers), a ruler and your imagination.

This six week program will teach young athletes the fundamentals of pom dance, jumps, and tumbling. This team will meet once a week and perform a routine during halftime of a Kennebunk High School football game! Each athlete will receive a performance t-shirt, bow & poms. *Each participant will need white cheer sneakers and black leggings for the performance* Youth Football Cheer (3rd - 8th grade)  These athletes will be enhancing their current cheerleading skills and learning new skills as they age through our program. Our goal is to create a safe and fun environment while fostering a passion for cheerleading in each one of our athletes! Teams will practice once to twice a week, and will cheer on our local youth tackle football program throughout their season. In partnership with Kennebunkport Recreation & Arundel Recreation, we are offering an 8-week program designed to introduce kids to the sport of field hockey in a fun, energetic, and low-key environment. Children will be taught the basic skills of the game in station format with scrimmages following. The program comes with a field hockey pinnie with numbers on the back! Instructors for this program will be Coach Kayla Billings (KHS Varsity FH) & Coach Jill Lamontagne. Participants will be broken up into two age groups: K-2 and 3-6. Grades K-2 will be clinic style on Sunday mornings with the possibility of a playdate or two before the season is over. Grades 3-6 will practice once during the week and then either have a playdate on the weekend or practice on Sunday. Schedule for possible games and practices for grades 3-6 will be released around the end of August by Coach Billings or Coach Lamontagne.Shin guards, mouth guards, goggles, and sticks are required.
